I designed and sewed my original "Bubble Jeans". Shirt and boots by L.L. Bean.
I grew up in the village of New Gloucester, Maine, where I wore L.L. Bean boots on a daily basis, picked blueberries with my grandfather, and participated in 4H raising my own sheep, chickens and pigs.
I discovered my love for textiles when I learned to card, spin, and dye sheep's wool into yarn. Knitting, crocheting and sewing soon followed.
As my appreciation for well-made clothing deepened, so did my fascination with fashion.
I am studying apparel design and merchandising because I value the way the clothing and the fashion industry can create connections between people and uplift and celebrate a diversity of traditions and culture.

I believe fashion is more than what meets the eye. To me, it serves as a universal thread that connects different stories, ideas and creative approaches to living your best life.
